He said that his party has expanded the scope of engagement with think tanks and universities for further knowledge exchange and capacity building to ensure that the preparations of the long term development direction of CCM, including its manifesto, is well informed by scientific evidence. On his part, our ED Dr Donald Mmari appreciated the visit by the Secretary-General Secretary and his commitment to deepening working relationship with research and academic institutions and that REPOA is fully committed to continue with relevant policy research and provide capacity for policy analysis to the party and the government of Tanzania, including the development of the National Vision 2025-50, the CCM Development direction 2020-2030 and its manifesto. Dr Bashiru encouraged other political parties to utilize research findings and seek for advice from research and academic institutions so that they can advise the government more constructively.
